Koto Performance at the Portland Japanese Garden
I love the the harp, koto and its relative; the Chinese guzheng (古箏). The sounds that come out of these instruments can be soothing, peaceful, bittersweet and contemplative all at the same time. Whenever, I hear the idiom “tug at your heartstrings” it is what I imagine.
